Dido Announces ‘Greatest Hits,’ Unveils Cover Artwork

Well! If the flat-soda taste of Dido‘s last studio album, the lackluster Girl Who Got Away, didn’t appeal to you, maybe take a walk down memory lane with the English songbird to remember how great she’s been over the last fifteen years: Dido is prepping a monolithic 2-CD greatest hits collection, including all of her big hits (“Thank You,” “White Flag” and so on) as well as a ton of killer remixes and one new song, the enigmatically titled “NYC.” (Wonder what it’ll be about!)

Still, just looking at the tracklist provides a salient reminder of how spectacular her back catalogue is (“Sand In My Shoes” is one of the best dance-pop songs of the early decade, and there are few tracks more devastating than the haunting “Grafton Street”). The album artwork may not inspire a lot of confidence, but Dido usually does.
