Say Lou Lou Get Even Dreamier On “Better In The Dark”: Listen

Swedish-Australian songstresses Say Lou Lou are one of those rare pop acts that don’t seem to be capable of releasing anything subpar: Each song is a pristine little pop gem, with perfectly dreamy production that swirls around their high, frosty vocals.

Their latest effort, then, is just par for the course, following up their genius cover of Tame Impala‘s “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards”: “Better In The Dark” is hazy and luminous and twinkly as a night sky, with a Kyliesque chorus that surges from a bed of synths and crashing drums. I don’t know how, exactly they keep on doing it, but I hope they don’t stop.

“Better In The Dark” is out December 16 (as well as a B-side, “Beloved”) with their full-length debut out via Columbia in 2014.
