Hear Lady Gaga’s “Venus” Snippet & See The NSFW Cover Artwork
Lady Gaga‘s been teasing the absurd space goddess-themed lyrics to “Venus” over the past few days, and as promised, she posted a 40-second snippet of the ARTPOP track today (October 25). In her baroque British accent, the clip starts off, “Rocket number 9 take off to the planet / To the planet, Venus / Aphrodite lady, seashell bikini / Garden panty, Venus.” Well then!
The teaser cuts off just before a crescendo and/or chorus kicks in, so it’s tough to tell exactly what we’re in for on this Gaga-produced track. “Venus” only gets more vexing when you add the song’s cover artwork into the equation. Yes, that’s a bat up top, and it’s the only one of the three versions we could post on our front page.
