Ayah Marar Follows Up Calvin Harris Collaboration With “Beg Borrow Steal”: Watch The Video
Late in the summer, Calvin Harris and Ayah Marar hit the Top 10 in various European countries with their latest pair-up “Thinking About You,” a song Marar performed acoustically (and quite beautifully) when she dropped by our office. On he cusp of that particular success, Ayah has pinpointed “Beg Borrow Steal,” an uplifting dance track off her debut album The Real, as a new single.
The Will Simms-produced number has a video that features the London-based Marar as somewhat of a leather-clad guardian angel figure, hanging out on a rooftop in Los Angeles while a handful of down-on-their-luck individuals wander the streets in search of redemption.
In the end, Ayah manages to bring this group of sad sacks all together at the one place Angelenos go to when they’re desperate and in large need of a getaway: the bus stop.
