Little Mix’s ‘Salute’: Stream The Album

Little Mix have one of the year’s best singles with “Move,” and while the US edition of their sophomore LP Salute won’t be out until February 2014, the UK edition drops next week — and it’s already streaming online. (In all likelihood, the US edition will have some new songs — but this is a good taste of what to expect.) Aside from the excellent “Move,” there’s “Boy,” which sounds blissfully like a Timbaland song was time-traveled from the ’90s, and a host of other killer potential singles: The title track “Salute,” which storms and cheers “Hollaback Girl”-style and the clapping and chanting MNEK-produced “Nothing Feels Like You,” with its zany, storming Girls Aloud vibes, are exceptional. The Biff Stannard-penned ballad “These Four Walls” and the lovely “Good Enough” take the energy down a notch and get a little more personal (raw).

It’s all great, and seems to promise extraordinarily good things for the group’s US takeover in 2014. Stream the album here.
