Sure, David Bowie is shamelessly shilling a song from his latest album The Next Day in an ad for Louis Vuitton, which has conveniently sprung up the same week said album has been re-released in deluxe form…but so what. It’s DAVID BOWIE. And he’s playing harpsichord in the middle of a party that looks like some scene out of a weird cinematic mash-up of Interview With The Vampire and Marie Antoinette.
The model Arizona Muse joins the Thin White Duke as he croons the song “I’d Rather Be High” in the clip, which serves as the latest in LV’s L’Invitation au Voyage series. Watch above, and don’t even think of ever accusing Bowie of selling out again.
