Lady Gaga Celebrated Her ‘ARTPOP’ Release With Performances & Flying Dresses At artRAVE: Watch
Lady Gaga took over the Brooklyn Navy Yard Sunday night (November 10) to celebrate the release of her bombastic third album ARTPOP. With a giant version of that Jeff Koons cover sculpture of Gaga looming over the proceedings, the star unveiled a flying dress prototype (bye, flying cars!) and new works by artists like Koons, Marina Abramovic and Inez & Vinoodh.
After all that art, it was time for some pop, and Gaga took the stage well after midnight to perform a set of album tracks. Mother Monster first appeared dressed as some unholy combination of a creepy jack-in-the-box and the Scarecrow from Batman Begins. She soon stripped into something more comfortable, donning her meta The Fame 2.0 costume, for the remainder of the set.
