In case you’ve yet to receive the memo, the R. Kelly apocalypse/renaissance has dawned. And following his recent collabs with Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, the smooth ‘n’ sultry bump N’ grinder is now in the swing of promo for upcoming album Black Panties (out December 10). As such, Kelly will appear in the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone, where he tells the mag, “With my gift, I can pretty much write a song out of anything.”

Case in point: the below video, where the singer is given random phrases like “ice hockey,” “sex dolphin,” “sex newspaper” and, our personal favorite, “Italian hero sandwich of love,” and tasked with turning them into songs on camera. Head below to see R. Kelly’s slick skills in action.
