Demi Lovato Hits The Club In “Neon Lights” Video: Watch
Demi Lovato has been teasing her “Neon Lights” video all week, and now that the clip is finally here, it’s nice to see that it doesn’t disappoint — not one bit. (It’s probably my favorite Demi video to date, aside from the peerless, wrenching visual for “Skyscraper.”)
Featuring a blue-haired Demetria in various darkened scenes, but primarily dancing in the shadowy cloisters of a nightclub (and it’s nice to see there are no bottles to be found, with pop’s sobriety queen proving that you don’t have to drink to get super turnt up), there’s no real story but it doesn’t need one: It’s dark, mature and a little bit edgy. There’s actual choreography! There’s hair flipping! There’s Demi submerged seductively in a pool of water! It does the trick.
Like her erstwhile bestie Selena Gomez‘s “Slow Down” video, it’s slick and sultry — and Demi looks properly stunning.
