Aloe Blacc Takes A Stand In His Hard-Hitting “Love Is The Answer” Video: Watch
Aloe Blacc, probably best know stateside for voicing Avicii‘s monster hit “Wake Me Up”, is hoping to make waves of his own with Pharrell-produced, retro-soul single “Love Is The Answer”. Fans of the crooner’s international breakthrough “I Need A Dollar” will find a lot to love about this gritty yet melodic groove.
The video is suitably bleak. It documents the plight of a promising football star who is suspended from school and falls in with the wrong crowd. Things go terribly wrong from that point on. Aloe chose the theme to take a stand against the school-to-prison pipeline that exists due to excessive suspensions. Watch his message up top.
