Macklemore And Ed Sheeran’s 2014 ‘Sesame Street’ Appearances: Watch A Sneak Peek

Oh, lucky, lucky Billboard – the publication was granted special access to the Sesame Street set on the days Ed Sheeran and Macklemore rolled in to shoot their respective guest appearances. The episodes won’t air until at least September 2014, because the show is apparently super-organized (does not compute) and gets these things done a full year ahead of time. But the above behind-the-scenes clip gives you an idea on what to expect.

Sheeran was asked to contribute an original song to sing with the Muppets, while Macklemore did a recycling-themed parody of 2013 mega-hit “Thrift Shop” with Oscar The Grouch. These guys now join an illustrious list of pop stars who’ve logged screen time on Sesame Street — one that includes, among many others, Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, Backstreet Boys, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Bruno Mars and Stevie Wonder…but not Katy Perry or her boobs.
