One Direction’s ‘Midnight Memories’ Headed For Number One With 500,000+ First Week Sales

The One Direction juggernaut shows no sign of letting up with the band’s latest album Midnight Memories predicted to top the Billboard Hot 200 with first-week sales of more than 500,000 copies. There’s a slight chance it could outsell 2012’s Take Me Home, which sold 540,000 first week, but the thanksgiving holiday makes that less likely.

This is an extremely encouraging result for the Brits. Many boy bands fall out of fashion as they move into adulthood but that simply hasn’t happened to One Direction. If anything, their star is on the rise and they keep on winning new fans. With 2014 tour dates announced for 2014, Midnight Memories should keep selling well into next year.
