‘Lady Gaga & The Muppets’ Holiday Spectacular’: Watch Cameos By Elton John, RuPaul & More

The Thanksgiving special was called Lady Gaga & The Muppets’ Holiday Spectacular, but the most spectacular part was the tweaks they made to the songs.

For instance, when Kermit the Frog sat beside Gaga at a piano, he admitted that he couldn’t quite relate to touring at length, alone. (He isn’t the only Muppet, after all.) But he sympathized, as made clear when the two sang “Gypsy” together. Instead of “I’m a man without a home,” he sang, “I’m a frog without a pond, but I think with you / I could spend my life.”

RuPaul also strutted in for a duet version of “Fashion,” while friend Elton John insisted on singing his 1974 hit “Bennie and the Jets” with her namesake instead. Actor and Gaga fan Joseph Gordon-Levitt even teamed with her for a helpful rewrite of Christmas song “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” so that he was suggesting that he leave (as a female traditionally would) and Gaga insisted that he stay (as a male would).
