The Vamps Instantly Become Your New Favorite Boy Band With “Wild Heart”: Watch The Video

While One Direction score their biggest album yet in America with Midnight Memories, another British troupe of tousle-headed young lads is making a splash back on the other side of the pond — and the buzz is getting louder. The Vamps, a new four-piece of apple-cheeked teens, already notched a #1 hit in the UK with their first single, the Bruno Mars-penned “Can We Dance,” but their second single, “Wild Heart,” is even better: A rollicking, Mumford-esque dance-rock gem with storming production and a thrilling, euphoric chorus.

There’s shades of “Story Of My Life,” here, but it’s bigger than that — a chorus that all but demands you sing along to it.

The video is pretty typical boy band fare — they travel the desert in their tour van, picking up beautiful women along the way (which sounds creepier than it looks on screen) — but it’s a fine introduction, and given that they’ve already toured with Selena Gomez and have an upcoming series of shows with Taylor Swift, it seems all but inevitable that stateside success awaits them.
