Kacey Musgraves Is A Real Cowgirl In “Follow Your Arrow” Video: Watch
Country’s left-leaning savior Kacey Musgraves (who had my favorite album of the year with Same Trailer, Different Park) has released the video for her single “Follow Your Arrow,” the most progressive track you’re likely to hear on country radio, and it’s a sunny, sweet clip that features everyone, y’know, following their arrow. Particularly the gentlemen, who drop their inhibitions and just dance.
The video shows a lot of glamour shots of Musgraves, looking extra Western in cowboy boots, short-shorts and a cute hat as she sings backed by a group of suited-up male musicians, but she’s more than earned them.
As it turns out, Musgraves sustained a minor injury on the set of the video — by getting too close to a prickly Yucca plant that left her with a serious cut on her leg. Ah, well. Occupational hazard.
