Australian Pop Duo Max & Bianca Tease Debut Single “Love Drunk”

From the gloomy alt-pop leanings of Say Lou Lou to the club-rattling beats of Havana Brown, Australia keeps churning out great pop music. Joining the ever-growing list of talented Aussies is new duo Max & Bianca. They release their perky debut single “Love Drunk” on December 13.

Brought together by mutual friends, the Sydney-based duo play their own instruments and aspire to make quality pop music with substance. That’s a lofty goal but does “Love Drunk” achieve it? From the brief preview, the answer is a resounding yes. Produced by DNA, the fizzy pop tune sounds like a more melodic Karmin — with sugary sweet vocals and a bold, sing-a-long chorus.

“It’s all about a couple being in love, but everything has gone wrong and they don’t how to deal with it — or if they even want to,” Max explains. Catchy and deep! What more do you need? Listen to a snippet of the song in the band’s colorful video after the jump.
