Prince To Cameo On FOX’s ‘New Girl’
This is a very Prince story, following a year of very Prince stories (remember the amazing “Breakfast Can Wait” cover?): The Purple One is a fan of the FOX sitcom New Girl (who isn’t??), and he’s such a big fan that he got in touch with the show’s producers and pitched them an episode idea involving his (famed?) all-night pajama dance parties. And that pitch became a reality. Dr. Funkenberry says the episode features the Artist playing himself, and it will air after the Super Bowl on February 2. This will be Prince’s network television debut (not counting performances, of course).
Prince is the second big music star to appear on the show this year. Back in May, Taylor Swift had a very brief cameo.
