I know it’s hard to remember, but Kid Cudi released an album earlier this year. Indicud was a sprawling, occasionally thrilling mess of ideas. Much like Childish Gambino‘s because the internet, it could’ve used some self-editing, and much like ‘Bino, Cudders is prone to singing and having Deep Thoughts. The trend continues on Cudi’s new song “Satellite Flight,” which is presumably off his forthcoming Satellite Flight: The Journey To Mother Moon EP.

The track features a Casio beat buttressed with a lush string loop and a whole lot of his patented groan-rap-singing. He also brilliantly says, “And now, the vibes,” to introduce the ensuing synth bridge, which the lyric sheet describes thusly: “RAW ASS VIBE SESH.” Right when we think we lost faith in Cudi, he goes and does something like that.
