Tiesto Drops Crossover Dance-Pop Monster “Red Lights”: Listen

With relative newcomers scoring massive hits around the globe with radio-friendly EDM anthems, it was only a matter of time before the highest paid DJ in the world took a shot at crossover glory. And Tiesto comes hard with “Red Lights” — striking a perfect balance between melodic pop and hands-in-the-air club fodder.

Picking up where Avicii‘s “Wake Me Up” left off, the Dutchman’s pop experiment boasts a plaintiff male vocalist, strumming guitars and a rich vein of melancholy. However, “Red Lights” is less EDM-easy listening than his rival’s smash hit. The beats still come thick and fast and the chorus is absolutely undeniable. Listen after the jump.
