Gucci Mane may still be in jail from a probation violation in October, where he was caught with marijuana and a firearm, and he may be facing up to twenty years in prison because of other gun charges, but that hasn’t stopped him from self-releasing, via Bandcamp, his second album of 2013 (and twelfth project overall…seriously, lookThe State Vs. Radric Davis II: The Caged Bird SingsGucci was dropped by Atlantic Records back in September, so it seems like he doesn’t give a care about release schedules or marketing, resulting in this landslide of new material.

The Caged Bird Sings isn’t quite a Maya Angelou novel put to hip-hop production, but a rehash of the syrupy, depraved trap music Gucci Mane made his name on.
