SBTRKT x Jessie Ware x Sampha x Tic’s “r u n a w a y”: Listen To The Short Collaboration
Among the slew of releases due out in 2014, there is to be new music from Jessie Ware, whose debut album Devotion was among what we deemed to be the best of 2012. Fellow Brit musician SBTRKT (real name: Aaron Jerome) tweeted out a short clip of a song called “r u n a w a y” on New Year’s Day, which he notes on SoundCloud is a collaboration with Ware, Sampha and Tic that was recorded in 2011.
SBTRKT played the moody, chilled-out synth-driven track as the final number in his Mexico City DJ set on New Year’s Eve. Of course, one minute and 15 seconds isn’t a lot to offer our Jessie-starved ears, so we’ll gladly take more based on this small taste.
