Outkast Reunion Alert: Did Frequent Collaborator Rico Wade Accidentally Confirm Coachella Rumors?

In a feature story about Future, Stereogum may have stumbled upon an accidental confirmation of Outkast‘s rumored plans to reunite at Coachella. Their writer spoke to Rico Wade, who is Future’s cousin and, more importantly for this story, one-third of Organized Noize, the Dungeon Family-affiliated production trio who worked with Outkast early on. While talking about Future’s start, Wade delved into Future’s connections to Dungeon Family, and in the process seemed to indicate the Outkast reunion was a done deal by saying he’s trying to land Future a guest spot in the duo’s Coachella sets.

Once again, we have a confirmation from someone close to Outkast, but not the guys themselves (or their camp). Big Boi and Andre 3000 at least acknowledged the rumors, though, posting photos in December of their recent time together in Atlanta. It’s another promising development for fans of the ATLiens, who may not have the complete answer until that pesky Coachella lineup is announced.
