Outkast Also Confirmed As Governors Ball Headliners

Rolling Stone has just received word from a Governors Ball representative that Outkast will be headlining the New York City festival this summer. Last night (January 8) it was announced that Andre 3000 and Big Boi would reunite as Outkast and headline the first night of Coachella in April, and now we know it’s not a one-off engagement.

No other acts have been announced for Governors Ball, which takes place June 6-8 on Randall’s Island, but the fest has begun posting lineup clues on social media (we’re guessing this one is Disclosure and praying this one isn’t hinting at some sort of Notorious B.I.G.2Pac hologram collab).

Last year’s muddy, park-ravaging Gov Ball was headlined by Kanye West, Guns N’ Roses and Kings Of Leon, but the latter’s headlining set was canceled due to inclement weather. Hopefully the music gods will reward Outkast fans’ patience with some nice weather this year.
