Well! Congratulations are in order to U2, who beat out competition as stiff as Taylor Swift, Coldplay and even Justin Timberlake in the Best Original Song category at the 71st annual Golden Globe Awards tonight in Los Angeles. The song “Ordinary Love,” taken from the biopic Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom, took the top honor at the Globes.

In his acceptance speech, Bono discussed Mandela’s impact; even those rooting for the competition would probably find it tough to begrudge him much.
