Take That Members Confirm They’re In The Studio Working On New Album

When last we saw Take That, the UK band had welcomed long-departed member Robbie Williams back into the fold for 2010 album Progress and 2011 spinoff EP Progressed — releases that earned them a BRIT Award for Best Group and produced hits like “The Flood” and “Love Love” (the latter of which appeared in the box office blockbuster X-Men: First Class). Since then, Williams has released two solo albums, and fellow Take That member Gary Barlow has served as a judge on the UK version of The X Factor and, this past year, put out his first solo LP in 14 years.

But good news for fans of melodic, gentlemanly pop: The guys have confirmed that they’re back in the studio and making new music for Take That’s next release. There’s no word yet on whether Robbie Williams will be a part of the next album, though one recent report notes that the singer has until March to decide whether or not he’ll once again take up his Take That duties.

Head below to catch Gary Barlow and Howard Donald‘s tweets about getting back behind the mic, and the first track recorded for the new Take That album.
