Jessie J Teases New ‘Alive’ Song: Listen
Jessie J has spent the past week in a Los Angeles recording studio alongside two producer/songwriters: Kuk Harrell (Rihanna‘s “Umbrella”) and Matthew Koma (Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso‘s “Calling (Losing My Mind)” featuring Ryan Tedder). There, she has been readying the US release of sophomore album Alive, and was so excited about one new song that she teased it on Instagram.
Especially when compared to the fierce, sassy and pounding “Wild,” this new (and still untitled) track sounds damn near bubbly, as Jessie sings with the nervous excitement of a budding relationship — “and I’m scared, can’t deny.” It sounds promising, at least from this seconds-long clip, which makes her bowing out of Robin Thicke‘s US tour worth it. (“I’m sorry to all the fans who were coming,” she said on Twitter. “I will make it up by making sure you have more of me and my music this year.”)
