Shakira has released a solo version of Rihanna collaboration “Can’t Remember To Forget You” for the Spanish-speaking world and it, unsurprisingly, sounds considerably better than the original. Not that there’s anything wrong with the superstar duet, the new interpretation just sounds smoother and less forced.

“Nunca Me Acuerdo De Olvidarte” showcases the Colombian goddess’ voice better and benefits from a new arrangement. The ska-tinged sound has been beefed up with guitars, giving the track a winning rock edge. No doubt, Shakira’s catchy Spanish version will be massive from Mexico City to Madrid. Take a listen to her latest hit after the jump.
