Jessica Mauboy, Samantha Jade, Justice Crew & Others Join Forces For “I Am Australian”
Now this is different. A group of Australia’s biggest pop stars have banded together to cover The Seekers‘ “I Am Australian” to honor Australia Day (January 26). Pop divas Jessica Mauboy and Samantha Jade take part, as do boy band Justice Crew, X Factor winner Dami Im, X Factor runner-up Taylor Henderson and rising R&B singer Nathaniel.
It’s a curious line-up but the the participants sound truly stoked to take part. “I love Australia Day and I am so thrilled to be a part of this recording,” Jessica enthuses. “It was such an amazing experience recording the song.” Fair enough. Somebody needs to bring together America’s finest to record a classic for the 4th of July. It could be fun?
