Ed Sheeran, Fall Out Boy, Miguel & More Cover Elton John In ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ Reissue
Pop stars like Ed Sheeran, Fall Out Boy, Miguel will pay tribute to Elton John in a forthcoming reissue of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. First released in 1973, Goodbye debuted at No. 1 and held that position for eight weeks straight, as John and songwriting partner Bernie Taupin released one hit after another, including the title track and “Bennie and the Jets.”
Universal Music/Mercury will release a deluxe reissue of Goodbye on March 24; on the second disc, Sheeran covers “Candle in the Wind” while Fall Out Boy takes on “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting.” Miguel tackles “Bennie and the Jets,” which Music Week reports will also feature Wale.
