Ellie Goulding & Angel Haze Team Up On Cover Of James Blake’s “Life Round Here”: Listen
Ellie Goulding and Angel Haze have teamed up to cover James Blake‘s “Life Round Here” (a song which already received an official remix featuring Chance The Rapper). Blake’s original is rubbery and sparse, but the ladies and producer Noah Breakfast have added a dose of fog in their cover, replacing the squiggles with spectral bumps in the night. Goulding sounds a lot like BANKS here (or maybe it’s the other way around?), while Angel Haze continues her streak of excellent verses on cover songs, delivering a double time flow over the languid beat.
