Chelsea Lankes’ “Ghost” Video: Watch The Moody, Beach-Set Clip

Chelsea Lankes‘ slow-burning synth number “Ghost” is likely a song that slipped by you unnoticed in 2013, but there’s no time like the present to remedy that. In December Idolator premiered the “Waste Management Remix” of the track, but the single version stands on its own as a fine, ethereal slice of dream pop.

Lankes paired up with director Alex Beh for the simple black and white video, which finds the Nashville-based singer wandering around a beach in Malibu, lamenting a lost love. Don’t expect this to be a big budget affair. (In fact, we half-expected to see Barbra Streisand come running out with a broom to chase poor Chelsea and her ghost-like boyfriend off her beachfront property for not having a shooting permit.) Just let the gorgeous atmosphere of both the audio and visual here pull you in.

“‘Ghost’ is one of those songs that catches you off guard,” Chelsea told Idolator in December. “I knew it was special the day it was written. You always hope that a song can resonate with those that listen and ‘Ghost’ has done just that. I couldn’t be happier.”
