Watch Miley Cyrus Cover Arctic Monkeys In MTV Unplugged Bonus Clip

Here’s a thing you never hear anymore: Miley Cyrus is covering something! (Ya know, instead of exposing something, she’s covering… oh never mind). In unaired footage from her MTV Unplugged special, Miley takes on Arctic Monkeys‘ “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?” — probably because it has the word “high” in the title, so, controversy or whatever.

Unlike the bulk of her material on the show, this song wasn’t transformed into a twangy, Nashville-flavored number. Instead, she stayed faithful to the moody dive bar vibe, before adding some misplaced headbanging then impressively wailing through the closing refrain.

Check it out up top.
