It’s been a big week for Skylar Grey. A solo version of the singer/songwriter’s 2010 Diddy-Dirty Money hit “Coming Home” catapulted up iTunes after being featured in Budweiser’s Super Bowl commercial and today (February 7) her contribution to the Endless Love soundtrack arrives online.

She delivers an exceptionally sparse and spooky cover of Robert Palmer‘s seminal 1986 chart topper “Addicted To Love” — transforming the song from a upbeat rock anthem into a menacing ballad. Skylar’s interpretation works exceptionally well. Her gritty vocal is on point and the gloomy arrangement is strangely beautiful. Listen to her version after the jump.
