Jack Antonoff (One Third Of Fun.) Launches Bleachers: Listen To “I Wanna Get Better”

Fun. is on a little break after shaking up the industry with Grammy winning Some Nights LP but the trio isn’t exactly knocking back mojitos at the beach. Nate Ruess helped Pink out on a little duet called “Just Give Me A Reason”, while Jack Antonoff has been working on a solo project for RCA called Bleachers.

The bespectacled 29-year-old takes it back to the ’80s on debut single “I Wanna Get Better”, which sounds like Simple Minds meets Depeche Mode circa 1985. Jack said he was inspired by John Hughes movies and this anthemic gem certainly wouldn’t sound out of place on The Breakfast Club soundtrack. Listen to Bleachers’ hugely promising tune after the jump.
