Rebecca & Fiona Are Still Sugary Sweet In Gritty “Candy Love” Video: Watch
Rebecca & Fiona switch things up on new single “Candy Love,” which they produced along with Carli. The first taste of the Swedish duo’s sophomore LP Beauty Is Pain is slower than their usual brand of high-octane electro. That’s not to call it a ballad either. The moody synth anthem just shows more depth than hands-in-the-air club bangers like “Dance” and “Bullets”.
It’s appropriate then that video reflects Rebecca & Fiona’s artistic progression. The DJs/divas go for a gritty look that intercuts footage of them singing in front of a screen with scenes of them hamming it up as very unhappy glamazons. They rock giant wigs and drink martinis and generally act fabulously messy. Watch them in action up top.
