Coldplay, Pitbull & Imagine Dragons Coming To SXSW: Direct Your Complaints To Apple

Each year, South By Southwest seems less about getting eyes on emerging acts gutting out 10 shows in a week and more about corporate sponsors lining up marquee names. Last year, the trend hit a peak with Justin Timberlake and Prince closing out the festival with instantly legendary sets on the final night. If you thought it couldn’t get any more big-tent, you were very, very wrong.

This year, Apple is bringing its iTunes Festival stateside for the first time for SXSW, and they’ve lined up Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Keith Urban, Zedd and…yes, Pitbull, according to MarketWatch.

Pitbull is playing SXSW, folks. Your scrappy little band will have to compete for press with Mr. Worldwide and his never-ending vault of Bud Lights. Everything is embarrassing. The music portion of SXSW takes place March 11-16 in Austin, but what is even the point anymore.
