Conor Maynard Covers Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” Rather Nicely: Watch
Conor Maynard tackled Drake‘s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” for SBTV recently and delivered a surprisingly lovely acoustic version. The 21-year-old strips Drizzy’s hit back to basics and shows off his vocal prowess. It’s not an easy track to put a unique spin on (everyone has already covered it) but he does an admirable job.
2014 could hold big things for the Brit. He reached the top five in his homeland late last year with “R U Crazy” and has been in the studio with Labrinth and Travie McCoy cooking up hits. If Conor’s interpretation of “Hold On, We’re Going Home” is any indication, he could be moving towards a more mature sound on his sophomore set. Watch up top.
