Aloe Blacc Performs “The Man” In The Red Bull Studio: Watch The Live Video

Aloe Blacc is on a roll. After lending his powerful pipes to Avicii‘s worldwide smash “Wake Me Up”, the veteran soul singer is now racing up the Billboard Hot 100 with his own hit “The Man”. He dropped by the Red Bull Studio in Los Angeles last week to perform the gospel-tinged toe-tapper for an audacious live video. (An official visual will follow in the not too distant future).

The 35-year-old pulls out all stops for the extravaganza — enlisting a chamber orchestra and an African dance troupe. Impressively, the video was shot in one uninterrupted take. Which is hard to get your mind around considering the brilliant musicianship and dynamic choreography on display. It speaks volumes for Aloe’s vocal prowess and insightful lyrics that the song’s uplifting message doesn’t get lost in the colorful spectacle.

“The Man” is the latest installment of the In The Red Bull Studio music video series. With Aloe’s third LP Lift Your Spirits on the horizon, this is a great way to showcase a man with a unique perspective. “I want to remind people that music is made by human beings and instruments,” the hitmaker explains. “At the root of it all are blood sweat and tears behind songs”. Watch up top.
