Coldplay Nab Adele’s Right-Hand Man Paul Epworth For ‘Ghost Stories’ Production

Coldplay revealed they’ve linked up with producer Paul Epworth for their forthcoming album Ghost Stories (out May 19). This is the band’s first time working with Epworth, who helmed the majority of Adele‘s smash 21 and has worked with everyone from Florence + The Machine to The Rapture. Coldplay tapped Epworth after working closely with Brian Eno on their last two albums, Mylo Xyloto and Viva La Vida.

Ghost Stories was a collaborative effort,” the band posted in a recent fan Q&A. “Jon [Hopkins] produced ‘Midnight,’ Rik Simpson & Dan Green were of course involved and Paul Epworth also worked on the album. Guy [Berryman] actually did a lot of the production this time round.”

Up next for the British rockers is a headlining gig at SXSW in Austin next week, where they’ll likely debut new album tracks “Midnight” and “Magic.”
