U2 Working With Ryan Tedder & Paul Epworth, Push Back Album To 2015
U2 have been chugging along so far this year, with a Golden Globe win and a (RED) partnership for new song “Invisible,” not to mention several major television appearances. Their new album, helmed by Danger Mouse, was expected to drop later this year, but Billboard reports they’ve hit a bump in the road and have decided to call in a few more producers and delay the LP until 2015.
In an interesting twist, the legendary Irish rockers have reportedly booked additional recording sessions with Ryan Tedder and Paul Epworth, while Danger Mouse will remain in the primary producer role. (Coincidentally, Coldplay just revealed they’ve enlisted Epworth for their new album Ghost Stories.)
Epworth, of course, was the primary collaborator with Adele on 21, and Tedder has worked with Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson and more, so perhaps Bono wants to channel some of that diva power.
