Tove Lo’s “Stay High” (Hippie Sabotage Remix) Explodes On iTunes Thanks To Ellie Goulding

Tove Lo is making all the right people take notice. The Swedish singer, who started her career writing hits for Icona Pop and Girls Aloud, first made waves in 2013 with cult pop hits “Habits” and “Out Of Mind” before releasing excellent debut EP Truth Serum earlier this month. (“Not On Drugs” is my fave).

Ellie Goulding is clearly also a fan because she posted “Stay High (feat. Hippie Sabotage) [Habits Remix]” on her Instagram and the song suddenly exploded. It broke into the top 100 overnight — an incredible feat for a gloomy, alt-EDM remix that has been floating around online for the last six months. Listen to Tove’s surprising commercial breakthrough after the jump.
