Prince & Zooey Deschanel Recorded A Duet: Hear “FALLINLOVE2NITE”
Prince and Zooey Deschanel have recorded a duet together, because the Purple One’s love for New Girl runs hella deep. A snippet of the house-inflected tune was first heard in the Prince-starring January episode of the FOX show, when he and Zooey’s character performed the song at a house party. But now the full studio version has premiered.
Prince’s voice sounds ever-so-slightly pitch-shifted, making Deschanel the earthy counterbalance, while horns and flutes over a programmed four-on-the-floor beat. As Consequence of Sound points out, the song was released by Epic Records, which suggests PLECTRUMELECTRUM may find Prince ending his exile in the indie world.
