Kylie Minogue is currently in Australia promoting new LP Kiss Me Once. She sat down for interview with television show A Current Affair last night (March 17) and was asked about the album (the pop diva’s summation: “sex sex sex”), her two year relationship with late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence and, interestingly, her thoughts on Miley Cyrus‘ image overhaul.

The interviewer points out that Kylie also went through a transformation from child star to barrier-pushing sex kitten in her early 20s and asked if Miley “needs to pull it back”. Her answer? “It’s too late now!” She then went on to defend the headline-grabbing twerker. “I think she’s that age where, the age I was when I was dating Michael, where you’re somewhere in this nebulous zone.”

“I think that’s the point in your life where you do try different things,” she continued. “I support whatever she’s doing and, also, if you want to push the boundaries on a global stage of course you’re going to have your detractors.” Watch Kylie wax lyrical about her career, life, love, health and Miley Cyrus after the jump.
