The Janoskians are coming for your favorite boy band after signing with Republic Records and beginning work on their debut LP. The Australian comedians leveraged their enormous popularity on YouTube to score a deal with Sony Australia in 2012, which resulted in an infuriatingly catchy club bangers like “Set This World On Fire” and “Best Friends”.

No doubt the performance of the latter song — it reached the iTunes top 10 in dozens of countries around the world — swayed Republic in making the decision. Apart from churning out funny videos, the heartthrobs are probably best known for their love lives. Jai Brooks sparked an atomic Twitter beef when he accused ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande of cheating. I’m sure she’s happy for their newfound success.

Do these guys have what it takes to conquer the music scene? Let us know in the comments below.
