Bebe Rexha Unleashes Killer Debut Single “I Can’t Stop Drinking About You”: Listen

After writing “The Monster” for Eminem and voicing Cash Cash‘s breakthrough hit “Take Me Home”, Bebe Rexha is ready to launch her own pop career at Warner Bros Records with killer electro-anthem “I Can’t Stop Drinking About You”. (I guess 2013’s ridiculously good “Comeback Kids” was a buzz track).

Bebe could be one of 2014’s biggest success stories if she keeps this up. Produced by The Monsters & Strangerz, “I Can’t Stop Drinking About You” begins in almost-acoustic mode before shifting gears into angry Kelly Clarkson pop/rock as Bebe drinks away the pain of a bad break-up. But then the song gets really interesting.

There’s a mammoth electronic breakdown and the rising diva is swept away in a giant wave of crashing synths as she really into her feelings. “Darling tell me what more can I do and don’t you know I was meant for you?” she asks sadly before returning to her empty shot glass. It’s a raw and refreshingly different debut single from one of the game’s most promising newcomers. Listen after the jump.
