London Grammar Mark ‘If You Wait’ US Release With ‘Kimmel’ Performance: Watch

Indie-pop watchers are likely familiar with London Grammar, but this week the band will expand its reach after giving debut album If You Wait an official US release. To mark the occasion, the British trio performed a pair of songs on Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday (March 26). First up was “Strong,” their beautiful exercise in stillness anchored by Hannah Reid’s elegant and husky vocals.

Up next was “Metal & Dust,” and even though the song has more active instrumentation, Reid’s vocals are still the centerpiece, bridging the gap between The xx‘s sultriness and Florence Welch‘s pure power. Watch “Strong” up top and “Metal & Dust” below.
