2 Chainz & French Montana Go Yard In “A-Rod”: Watch

2 Chainz is back with the French Montana-assisted “A-Rod,” featuring production from Chicago heavyweight Young Chop. So before even listening to it, you know a few things based on this information. 1) There will be haahns. 2) The beat will be a colossal drill stomp built on 808s and hummingbird hi-hats. 3) There will be plenty of references to Alex Rodriguez, who is suspended from playing in the Major Leagues this year due to steroid use.

Once you actually play the song, you’ll hear this is all accurate! French delivers item one in droves, Young Chop fulfills item two and the MCs drop numerous A-Rod lines (“Smoking on that strong, that’s that steroid / They tryin’ to kick me out like A-Rod, I used to run the base like A-Rod”).

Like “Ima Dog,” this will presumably land on 2 Chainz’ forthcoming album B.O.A.T.S. III. Hear the lumbering track below.

UPDATE: Now it’s got a video. Watch the NYC-set visual, directed by Sharod Marcus Simpson and featuring Yankee Stadium and a whole lot of jiggling ass. Have fun with all this, MLB PR flacks!
