OneRepublic Teases New Single “Love Runs Out”, Which Gets An A Rating From Ryan Tedder

In a recent interview with the BBC, OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder opened up about his songwriting process, and revealed that an unreleased track called “Love Runs Out” was originally going to be the lead single from Native but was ultimately discarded. “I couldn’t crack the chorus,” he said. “It gutted me because I had it marked on the board as ‘first single’ for six months.”

“The verse was an A and everything else was an A but the chorus was a B. So we tabled it,” Billboard‘s Undercover King of Pop continued. Well, it looks like Ryan and the boys finally cracked that chorus because “Love Runs Out” is getting an official release. At this stage, it’s unclear if the track is for a re-release of Native or an entirely new LP but the swampy southern rock anthem sounds very promising. Listen to a snippet of One Republic’s next hit after the jump.
