Birds Of Tokyo Take Flight On ‘Jimmy Kimmel’: Watch The Aussie Rockers Perform “Lanterns”

Perth rockers Birds Of Tokyo made their US TV debut last night (April 8) when they performed breakthrough hit “Lanterns” on Jimmy Kimmel Live.  The irresistible, sing-a-long anthem was the most-played song on Australian radio in 2013 and is starting to catch fire here — recently climbing into the top 20 on adult alternative radio.

No doubt, the five-piece will gain further momentum after their Kimmel performance. The band was typically tight, while frontman Ian Kenny delivered a fine vocal (and looked unusually dapper doing it). “Lanterns” is being released on a similarly titled EP in the US. No word yet when (of if) its parent LP March Fires is due stateside. Watch Birds Of Tokyo in action up top.
