Happy Friday, Idolator readers! It’s something of a West Coast-themed week, with Lana Del Rey‘s teasing of her new single “West Coast” and Coachella just starting to heat up. Stream it now, and make sure to check out our top acts to watch over the next few weekends.

Across the pond, Ed Sheeran delivered what just might be one of the summer’s hottest singles, “Sing,” while Kylie revealed the illuminated video for her own Pharrell-produced summer bop and newest Kiss Me Once single, “I Was Gonna Cancel.”

There was plenty of action inside the Idolator studio too, including a visit from rising alt-R&B diva Tinashe and our Bangerz Tour BFF Sky Ferreira, who not only chatted with us about Nirvana and her Instagram, but signed some copies of her debut Night Time, My Time for you guys to win! (Enter now.) Plus, we premiered some amazing new pop, including MAX‘s “Streets Of Gold” and The Ready Set‘s “Higher” lyric video. Plus, we got your spring ready with 11 of the hottest pop imports.

As always, you guys had plenty to say. Check out some of the week’s best comments below!

:: Kevin politely X-cused himself out of Ed Sheeran’s new album cover on Ed Sheeran’s ‘X’ Album Cover Is Very Green And Very Literal: “If I saw this in a store I’d think it’s the XX’s new album… So no thanks Ed. Even the tracklist is similar to one of the XX (ok that’s pushing my point a little too far, I’m probably just craving a new album from the XX).”

:: Enver loved Mike’s Lana hype on Lana Del Rey’s ‘Ultraviolence’ Promo Begins, Rumors Swirl About “West Coast” Release Date: “Mike Wass, i hope you don’t mind but i will be using “the second coming of Lana Del Rey is almost upon us” as much as possible. Best way to open up an article. Kudos to you.”

:: drew took in EVERY little word MNEK had to say on MNEK’s “Every Little Word”: Listen To The Funky R&B-Pop Jam: “SO GOOD. SO SOULFUL. And yes, I have filthy images of me getting down to this track.”

:: While Ginger got a little bothered about Lana’s pop royalty status on Lana Del Rey Unveils “West Coast” Single Artwork, Immediately Crashes Her Own Site: “People really overuse the term “Queen.” The term Seems to Be used for just about every contemporary pop star out there. Not to say that Lana doesn’t deserve it…but still.”

:: Jalin was overwhelmed with love for Ashanti during our line of questioning on 7 Questions With Ashanti: The Evolution Of ‘Braveheart’, Going Independent & Her Next Single: “this album is phenomenal. I’ve always been a fan of hers. coming from a guy, she’s always been my childhood crush until this day. she is one of the most inspirational l people in my life. so many people don’t get the gist or the messages in her music. they want her to be like everyone else who is progressing in the game, but she is not like that she is so down to earth and humble that I could not see her even see her placing her self up there or changing up her style for anyone. I just hope her sales progress and she continues to make fantastic music. I wish her the best.”

:: DDB was purely Team MDNA on Battle Of The Biker Babes: Madonna Shows Ariana Grande How To Vamp It Up On A Motorbike: “You get a sense that Madonna is in complete control in her photo. Ariana looks like she’s trying to be sexy by allowing herself to be objectified. I’d have to choose Madonna.”

:: While Guest simply didn’t see it for the Material Girl: “Ariana Grande in my book, I didn’t even know about the other photo, Madonna made. Never been a Madonna fan anyway.”

:: omg wasn’t all that impressed by Beyoncé‘s newfound outspokenness on Beyonce Covers The Power Issue Of ‘Out’ Magazine, Discusses Sexuality And Double Standards: “It’s almost like men and women experience attraction differently. Step your recycled Xtina talking points up wannabe feminists.”

:: While Love Her couldn’t be more proud: “I love Queen Bey! I love her being bold and fearless and taking a stand! She isn’t just go[ing] with the flow.”

:: And finally, SweetNiblets had some creative differences with Elle‘s Women In Music issue on Miley Cyrus Covers ‘Elle’ For Women In Music Issue: “Elle seems to have been on a downward spiral with their covers as of late…this is a terrible and awkward photo to use. This is the best they could come up? Since when do they have them sitting on a stool?”
